Mother’s Day National Spot
Full-service production on Hallmark’s national Mother’s Day retail spot, pre through post.
Mother’s Day is the largest card-buying moment of Hallmark’s year, which makes the national retail spot the least forgiving brief in the building. Everyone has an opinion, the emotional register has about a two-degree margin, and the whole thing has to survive being cut to fifteen seconds.
The spot stays with a mother and a small child making cards at a kitchen table — real hands, real mess, no performance of sentiment. It works because it does not reach. The product is the thing being made, not the thing being sold.
Delivered as a 30 and a 15, both 16:9, for national retail broadcast.
